Tengu tsubute

Tengu tsubute (天狗礫 – Tengu Gravel) is a type of yōkai depicted in the Konjaku Hyakki Shūi.

Sekien states that ‘when the wind blows through mountains and valleys the valleys respond by loosing boulders.’1
