Hinode
Hinode
Hinode (日の出 – Sunrise) is a type of Yōkai depicted in the Konjaku Gazu Zoku Hyakki by Toriyama Sekien.
This is not strictly a yōkai but is instead the act of the sun rising every day.
Sekien notes that the night time is when the horde will run wild, but when the sunrises it favors the superior man as the yōkai go back into hiding during the day.1
