Akamatsu Mitsusuke
Akamatsu Mitsusuke (赤松 満祐) was a member of the Akamatsu Family and son of Akamatsu Yoshinori2, living from 1373-1441.12
He served as shugo for three different provinces in Honshu during the Muromachi Shogunate.
In 1441 we see him angered by the attempts of Ashikaga Yoshinori‘s attempts to relocate some of his lands. And so he assassinated him. Shogunal forces, led by Yamana Sōzen then defeated Mitsusuke later the same year leading to him committing suicide. This became known as the Kakitsu Incident.1
His son Noriyasu helped him in the assassination attempt.2
