Fujiwara no Michikane
Fujiwara no Michikane (藤原 道兼) was a statesman and member of the Fujiwara Clan, more specifically the Hokke Branch of this clan.
Living from 961-995AD he was the son of Fujiwara no Kaneie,and father of Fujiwara no Kanetaka and Fujiwara no Sonshi.
He was appointed udajin in 994 and then kampaku in 995. This position he only held for 7 days and so was later given the nickname of Nanoka no Kampaku ‘The Seven Day Regent.’1
