Fujiwara no Kanemichi
Fujiwara no Kanemichi (藤原 兼通) was a member of the Fujiwara Clan, more specifically the Hokke Branch of this clan. Living from 925-977AD he was the son of Fujiwara no Morosuke.12
He was the father of Fujiwara no Akimitsu, Fujiwara no Tokimitsu, Fujiwara no Asateru and Fujiwara no Kōshi.2
When his brother Koretada passed away he vived with his other brother Kaneie to become the next sesshō.2 Kanemichi ultimately wins becoming sesshō in 9721.
Kanemichi also becomes kampaku and dajo daijin in 974.1
When Kanemichi is in his death bed he hears that Kaneie wishes to succeed him. Not wanting this to happen he had him demoted, with his cousin Fujiwara no Yoritada replacing him as regent.2
He was also known as Horikawa-dono and Tōtōmi-kō.1
