Sakanoue no Mochiki

Sakanoue no Mochiki (坂上望城)  was a poet from the 10th Century. He was a part of the Nashitsubo no Gonin, and as part of it he helped in compiling the Gosenshū1 and was also tasked to make a scholarly study of the Man’yōshū.2
