Kanayamabiko

Kanayamabiko (金山毘古神 – Metal Mountain Lad) is a Spirit born from the vomit of Izanami in her death throws after being burnt by giving birth to Kagutsuchi, this is mentioned in the Kojiki and Nihongi.12 He is the brother of Kanayamahime.1

The Engi Rites list shrines to him in Riversides and Fine Soil.1

The Nihongi gives him no sister, but does agrees the Spirit came from Izanami’s vomit.2
