Fujiwara no Oguromaro

Fujiwara no Oguromaro (藤原 小黒麻呂) was a member of the Fujiwara Clan, more specifically the Hokke Branch of this clan.

He lived from 733-794¹, was the son of Fujiwara no Torikai and father to Fujiwara no Kadanomaro² holding the title of dainagon at court.¹

As Commander of the Imperial Army he was sent to fight the Ezo People and in 780 recieved the titles of Ise no Kami and Mutsu no Kami.¹
