Abe no Yoritoki
Abe no Yoritoki (安倍 頼時) was a member of the Abe Clan who died in 1057AD.
Living in Mutsu Province he was the father of Abe no Sadatō and Abe no Munetō and the time he was born his family had come to control the six districts of Mutsu.
Yoritoki decided to invade the territories that neighbored him and also stopped paying taxes to the government. In 1051 the government decided to dispatch Minamoto no Yoriyoshi and his son Yoshiie to deal with him which led to the Earlier Nine Years War.
Yoritoki would eventually be killed at the Torinomi Palisade in 1057, with his sons continuing to fight for another five years.1
