Tōkan Kikō
Tōkan Kikō
The Tōkan Kikō (東関紀行) is a piece of Japanese literature.
It dates to around 1242 and in it we find mention of Priest Manzei.
The book looks at one of his poems and uses the art of honkadori on it stating that Manzei wrote his poem whilst standing on Mt. Hiei gazing over Lake Biwa.1
