Fujiwara no Junshi

Fujiwara no Junshi (藤原 遵子) was the wife of Emperor Nimmyō and a member of the Fujiwara Clan (more specifically the Hokke Branch). The marriage to the Emperor was arranged by her brother Fujiwara no Yoshifusa. Together they would go on to give birth to the future Emperor Montoku. Once more her brother would get involved and have his sister’s son marry his daughter Fujiwara no Akirakeiko.1
