Amatsumara (One Eye of Heaven) (天津麻羅) is the Shinto deity of blacksmiths and acts as the smith of Heaven. Mentioned in the Kojiki, after Amaterasu hides herself in the Sacred Rock Cave, he is asked to come forth and help them figure out how to get her to leave the cave.1
They are mentioned under the name of Amenomahitotsu (天目一箇神) in the
Jinnō Shōtōki where it says one of his descendant was instructed to make a new Sacred Sword by Emperor Sujin.2
