Ototachibanahime

Ototachibanahime (弟橘媛) was one of the wives of Yamato Takeru and together they had a son by the name of Wakatakehiko.

She is said to have been the daughter of Oshiyama no Sukune of the Hodzumi Clan.

She travels with Yamato Takeru when he goes to defeat the Emishi. Reaching Sagami they cross the sea together to try and reach Kadzusa. Whilst sailing a storms begins so Ototachibanahime sacrifices herself to stop the storm.¹
