Mikahayahi

Mikahayahi (甕速日神 – Stern Stormer) is a Shinto kami and the first of three Lightning kami born from the blood of Kagutsuchi after he was beheaded by the sword Itsunoohabari owned by Izanagi. The blood, caught upon the guard of the sword dripped down onto hallowed boulders forming this kami. This is related in the Kojiki and Nihongi.¹²

One other version of the Nihongi says this kami was only one of two kami born from this blood, the other being Hihayahi. And alternatively he is said to have been the father of Takemikazuchinoo, and not his brother.²
