Hayatamanoo

Hayatamanoo is a Shinto kami mentioned within an alternative text of the Nihongi. It states that this kami came into being after Izanagi and Izanami departed and divorced each other in Yomi.

Izanagi then spits on the ground which produces this kami before he goes on to ‘purify himself’ which produced the kami Yomotsukotosakanoo.¹
