Hayatamanoo

Hayatamanoo

Hayatamanoo is a Shinto deity mentioned within an alternative text of the Nihongi. It states that this Spirit came into being after Izanagi and Izanami departed and divorced each other in Yomi.

Izanagi then spits on the ground which produces this Spirit before he goes on to ‘purify himself’ which produced the Spirit Yomotsukotosakanoo.1
