Yametsuhime

Yametsuhime is said to have been a kami that dwelt in the land of Yame in Tsukushi. They are mentioned by Saruohomi during the reign of Emperor Keikō when he inquired who lives in the area.

It is also said this kami gave their name to the area.¹
