Fujiwara no Nagako

Fujiwara no Nagako also known as Sanuki Tenji, was a lady of the court and member of the Fujiwara Clan, living c.1079AD.

During her lifetime she served Emperor Horikawa and then Emperor Toba.

She is known to have written a diary, the Sanuki no Suke no nikki, which gives an account of her relationship with Horikawa from 1107-1109.

At times, her sister Fujiwara no Kaneko, is thought to be the same person as Nagako.1
