Matsudono Tadafusa (松殿 忠房) was a member of the Matsudono Family, a descendant of the Fujiwara Clan.

He was the son of Matsudono Motofusa and died in 1274AD. His sons were called Matsudono Yoshitsugu and Matsudono Kanetsugu.1

Matsudono Motofusa

Matsudono Motofusa (松殿 基房), also known as Fujiwara no Motofusa (藤原 基房) was a member of the Fujiwara Clan, more specifically from the Hokke Branch of the Clan. He was the first member of the Matsudono Family.

Living from 1144-1230 he was the son of Fujiwara no Tadamichi and had several children by the names of Matsudono Moroie, Matsudono Tadafusa, Fujiwara no Iefusa and Fujiwara no Takatada.2

During he lifetime he held several positions, being made sesshō in 1166, later dajō daijin and then kampaku in 1171. He would later be sent into exile by Taira no Kiyomori to Dazaifu where he was given the title Dazai no Gon no Sotsu.1
