<h3>Matsudono Motofusa</h3>
<p><strong>Matsudono Motofusa</strong> (松殿 基房), also known as <strong>Fujiwara no Motofusa</strong> (藤原 基房) was a member of the <a href="https://historyofjapan.co.uk/wiki/fujiwara-clan/">Fujiwara Clan</a>, more specifically from the <a href="https://historyofjapan.co.uk/wiki/hokke-fujiwara" class="broken_link">Hokke Branch</a> of the Clan. He was the first member of the <a href="https://historyofjapan.co.uk/wiki/matsudono-family" class="broken_link">Matsudono Family</a>.</p>
<p>Living from 1144-1230 he was the son of <a href="https://historyofjapan.co.uk/wiki/fujiwara-no-tadamichi/">Fujiwara no Tadamichi</a> and had several children by the names of <a href="https://historyofjapan.co.uk/wiki/matsudono-moroie">Matsudono Moroie</a>, <a href="https://historyofjapan.co.uk/wiki/matsudono-tadafusa">Matsudono Tadafusa</a>, <a href="https://historyofjapan.co.uk/wiki/fujiwara-no-iefusa/">Fujiwara no Iefusa</a> and <a href="https://historyofjapan.co.uk/wiki/fujiwara-no-takatada">Fujiwara no Takatada</a>.<a title="Kodansha" href="#footnote"><sup>2</sup></a></p>
<p>During he lifetime he held several positions, being made <em><a href="https://historyofjapan.co.uk/wiki/sessho-and-kampaku/">sesshō</a></em> in 1166, later <em><a href="https://historyofjapan.co.uk/wiki/dajo-daijin/">dajō daijin</a></em> and then <a href="https://historyofjapan.co.uk/wiki/sessho-and-kampaku/"><em>kampaku</em></a> in 1171. He would later be sent into exile by <a href="https://historyofjapan.co.uk/wiki/taira-no-kiyomori" class="broken_link">Taira no Kiyomori</a> to <a href="https://historyofjapan.co.uk/wiki/dazaifu" class="broken_link">Dazaifu</a> where he was given the title <em>Dazai no Gon no Sotsu</em>.<a title="Louis Frederick" href="#footnote"><sup>1</sup></a></p>
